Being a mother has made me realize all the dangers in the world. I know I can't protect my children from everything and they will get hurt, but I will do everything in my power to protect my angels.

Before I was a mom I never knew....

Before I was a mom I never knew...

I never knew that when girls grab my face to kiss it that it would mean the world to me.. and how much I will miss that when they don't do it anymore.

I never knew how strong I really was. (this is the big one)

I never knew how well I could function on no sleep.

I never knew much I would give up for such a little person.

I never knew how much a smile would brighten up my day.

I never knew how much I could kiss someone, I seriously can't stop kissing there cheeks.

I never knew what it felt like to have your heart walk around outside of your body.

I never knew that on my bad days when nothing seems to help all my girls have to do is smile and I feel 100% better.

 

I never knew how much energy I had.

I never knew that deep inside this strong independant, hardworking person who was all career and no fun was a woman who would get down on her hands and knees and crawl around making animal noises to here a beautiful giggle, and then laugh out loud at the sound.

I never knew how much my heart could hurt seeing a bundle of joy in the NICU and knowing I might never get to hold her ( she is doing great btw and is mommy's precious angel)

Most of all I guess i never knew that I could be a mommy.

7 Months

Wow, how time flies. It has been 7 Months today since my angels have been born. Watching them progress in their learning and viewing of the world around them has been sooo much fun. They love their walks during the day and love their jumper-roo when at home. It's amazing how much a routine really helps you keep your wits with twins. If I didn't have a schedule I think I would go insane.

The girls are going tho stranger anixety right now. I guess that 6 to 7 Months is when that starts. I will be glad when it is over. Seems like every month is a different schedule but at least we stay on it for a month and then switch. Better then switching everyday.

We will be going for are daily walk soon and I hope to get some pictures of them out there. Once I do I will update with the pictures.

Watching The Wheels Go By

John Lennon wrote a famous song called "Watching the Wheels go By". Now I know what he meant. I always thought my life was complete and that I had everything I ever hoped for. I loving husband, and a great job, a good roof over my head, and food on the table everyday. That was until my angels came into my life. they truly are a blessing and I thank my lucky stars that I was picked to be the mother of these wonderful little girls.

 My precious Ava. When we do get to see her smile and giggle it just warms you up inside. Ava has a more serious side to her then her sister, but when she does smile and giggle look out she wipes the floor with Emma.  Her smile is now as big as the sun and everyday I love seeing it.

My wonderful Emma. Emma loves to laugh. She's a little more of a go go go girl. I love every moment with her.

Update 5 Months Old

Wow, time sure flies. If feels like just yesterday I was pregnant with Ava and Emma. At 5 months things are starting to get so much easier. I'll try posting some pictures soon. Ava has started trying to talk and boy she can be loud. Emma is still a little behind and hasn't really gotten to vocal yet. They are both eating baby food now and so far they both love their Apple. They hate Banana tho and detest Prunes. (They take after mommy on that one.)

Life is full of surprises. Everyday is a new adventure and I look forward to more and more.
