Thinking of baby Scarlett

Today on a website I visit I read about baby Scarlett. I wanted to dedicate a post to this beautiful baby girl who needs thoughts and prayers as she undergoes surgery in January due to a tumor on her brain. She is so small and fragile. I will be hugging Ava and Emma extra tight tomorrow morning when the awake. I am the most luckest person on earth. I love my girls more then anything.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Christmas Is Around the Corner

Well Christmas is just around the corner. The girls love the christmas tree and stare at it non stop when it's turned on. Sometimes I even catch them staring at it when it's off. It is the girls offical first christmas but it really doesn't feel like it. I mean after all they are only 3 months old. They will not remember this.
I love christmas. IT'S CHRISTMAS!! Let's have a safe one and a Happy New Year. My girls have New Years Resolutions, they promise to stop fussing so much and take naps when Mommy tell's them too. lol....a woman can dream can't she?

The girls love staring at each other but they do have lots of jealousy issues regarding Mommy. LOL, look at Emma's face. It's as if she's saying "Hey, that's my mommy!"

3 Months Today

Well the girls are offically 3 months old today. Wow I can't believe how fast time can go but still seem slow at times. The girls are getting more and more active. Ava is now trying to pull herself up (even tho she is way to young still lol) and she is also trying to get her toes up to her mouth lol. Emma is a little behind and we think this has to do with the week she had to stay in NICU. She'll catch up though.

They are doing well at night but not taking naps during the day and it's a losing battle everytime I try. I am not going to give up however. It's a little frustrating as people have different thoughts on how I should do it. We will get it though. The nights are good like I said, however getting them to bed is a task and a half. They will scream for a good half hour or more and their is nothing you can do to quiet them. They just all of a sudden stop crying and fall asleep. Then they are good until midnight when they wake for food and fall back to sleep instantly. Wake up again at 4am for food and sleep straight though till between 7 and 8 am. Depending on the morning.

New Family Member

On November 16, 2010 we lost a very loved family member. Our beloved kitty passed away due to illnesses that could not be fixed by medicine or surgery. It came on Sweetpea very quickly and took her life just 2 short days of finding out that something was wrong. We will miss her dearly. She will always be in our hearts forever.

RIP Sweetpea

On November 18, 2010 we welcomed Hershal into our lives. Although we will miss Sweetpea dearly we needed to fill the void that she left. After having a cat for 7 years it was hard to adjust to no cat. It will be nice to see Hershal grow up with Ava and Emma. He is very good with the girls and loves to lay down beside them when they are on the floor. He doesn't try to hurt them at all. So lets all welcome Hershal Layton to the Balansiak Family!

12 Weeks Old

Well the twins are going to be 3 months old in 10 days time. How time flies. It feels like only yesterday I was carrying them inside and now I'm carrying them over my shoulder, in my arms or across my chest. Whichever way makes them happy. The girls are doing great. At the last checkup they both weighed just shy of 12 pounds each. My babies are really growing. They got their needles at the last checkup and boy did it go bad. Emma took the needles like a trooper. A little cry out and then she was fine. Ava took them worse. She cried and cried the little darling. Her one leg bled for a awhile too. We were good until about 7pm and then all hell broke loose. I'm not joking. Poor little girls were in such bad shape. It took me nearly 2 hours just to get them to bed. I am not looking forward to more needles.
The girls went to see Santa as you can see in the post below. Grandma Balansiak had some work function that they do every year for the children and since it was her first time having children (other then when Dan was a little boy) I thought it would be nice to go. They got some learning toys which will come in handy when they are a bit older. The singing clock keeps them happy though so we have that to entertain them some days.
Well I will always try my best to keep everyone updated on the girls. Sometimes all I have time for is a couple pictures but they can tell stories of their own lol.
